File the top coat of the fake nails to break the seal
Protect the skin around your nails with petroleum jelly or cuticle oil
Soak a cotton ball in acetone
Place the cotton ball on the nail
Wrap the nail with aluminum foil or use a nail clip
Leave it on for 10 to 20 minutes
Check one nail to see if the fake nail has softened
Gently push off the loosened nail with a cuticle pusher or orange stick
Rewrap any nails that are still stuck and soak a few more minutes
Buff off remaining residue
Wash your hands and apply moisturizer or cuticle oil
