Scrape off any excess mascara with a dull knife or spoon
Blot the stain gently with a clean paper towel or cloth
Apply a small amount of liquid laundry detergent or dish soap to the stain
Gently rub the fabric together or use a soft toothbrush
Let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes
Rinse the area with cold water from the back of the fabric
Repeat the detergent and rinse steps if needed
Wash the clothing according to the care label
Check that the stain is gone before drying
Air-dry the item if any stain remains
Use rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball for stubborn stains if the fabric is safe for it
Test any cleaning product on a hidden area first
