Be at least 15 years old
Complete a Texas-approved motorcycle safety course
Get a Class M learner license if you are under 18
Pass the motorcycle knowledge test if required
Pass the motorcycle skills test if required
Provide proof of identity, Social Security number, Texas residency, and lawful presence
Bring a completed application to a Texas DPS office
Pay the required license fee
Pass the vision test
If under 18, complete the required driver education and hold a learner license for the required time
If under 18, have parental or guardian permission
Receive your Texas Class M motorcycle license
