Let the glue dry completely
Scrape off any excess with a dull knife or spoon
Place the fabric in the freezer for 20 to 30 minutes if the glue is thick
Gently peel or flake off the hardened glue
Test acetone or nail polish remover on a hidden area first
Dab acetone on the glue with a cotton ball if the fabric is acetone-safe
Blot, do not rub
Rinse the area with cold water
Apply liquid laundry detergent to the stain
Gently rub the detergent into the fabric
Wash the clothing according to the care label
Air-dry the item and check the stain before using heat
Repeat the process if needed
Use rubbing alcohol or vinegar on delicate fabrics instead of acetone
Take dry-clean-only items to a professional cleaner
