Use acetone-based nail polish remover on a cotton pad or ball
Press the cotton onto the nail for a few seconds
Wipe the polish off gently
Repeat with fresh cotton until the polish is gone
Wash your hands with soap and water
Apply hand cream or cuticle oil after removing the polish
For non-acetone remover, soak a little longer and wipe more times
If you do not have remover, use rubbing alcohol or hand sanitizer on cotton
For glitter polish, hold the remover on the nail longer before wiping
For skin around the nails, use a cotton swab dipped in remover
Avoid scraping or peeling the polish off
Use a nail file lightly on the top coat before removing stubborn polish
