Press Ctrl+Shift+8 to show paragraph marks
Delete extra blank paragraphs on the page
Remove page breaks
Remove section breaks if unnecessary
Delete extra spaces or line breaks at the end of the document
Adjust the font size of hidden paragraph marks on the last page
Reduce the bottom margin if the page is caused by layout spacing
Check for tables or objects pushing content onto a new page
Use Backspace or Delete at the start of the extra page
Save the document and recheck the page count
