Use a saline nasal spray or rinse
Inhale steam from a hot shower or bowl of hot water
Drink plenty of fluids
Use a humidifier or vaporizer
Sleep with your head elevated
Apply a warm compress over your nose and sinuses
Blow your nose gently
Try an over-the-counter decongestant if safe for you
Try an over-the-counter antihistamine if allergies are the cause
Avoid smoke, strong odors, and other irritants
Rest as much as possible
Seek medical care if symptoms are severe, last more than 10 days, or include trouble breathing
