Wash the windshield with warm water and car soap
Soak a microfiber cloth in warm, soapy water and hold it on the sap for a few minutes
Gently wipe the softened sap away
Use rubbing alcohol or hand sanitizer on a cloth for stubborn sap
Apply a dedicated bug and tar remover if needed
Use a plastic razor blade or plastic scraper carefully on thick sap
Rinse the area with clean water
Dry the windshield with a clean microfiber towel
Repeat as needed until all residue is gone
Avoid using metal blades or abrasive pads
