Wash towels in hot water with detergent
Add 1 cup white vinegar to the rinse cycle
Use 1/2 cup baking soda in a separate wash cycle
Avoid using too much detergent
Skip fabric softener
Dry towels completely after each use
Dry towels on high heat or in direct sunlight
Rewash towels that still smell
Clean the washing machine regularly
