Soak the finger in warm, soapy water for 10–15 minutes
Gently peel or roll the glue off as it softens
Rub the area with a pumice stone or nail file very lightly
Apply acetone-based nail polish remover to a cotton ball and dab the glue
Wash the finger with soap and water after using acetone
Apply hand lotion or petroleum jelly to soothe dry skin
Repeat the soak and gentle rubbing if needed
Do not pull forcefully on the glue
Do not use sharp tools or cut the skin
Seek medical help if glue is in the eye, on a large area, or causing pain
