Download an X-ray mod or resource pack from a trusted Minecraft mod site
Make sure it matches your Minecraft version
Install Minecraft Forge, Fabric, or the required mod loader if needed
Place the mod file into the Minecraft mods folder
Or place the resource pack zip into the resourcepacks folder
Launch Minecraft and enable the resource pack or mod
Join a world and use the X-ray features provided by the mod or pack
Check server rules before using X-ray in multiplayer
