Preheat the grill to medium-high heat
Wash and dry the peppers
Cut peppers in half or leave whole
Remove stems, seeds, and membranes
Brush peppers lightly with oil
Place peppers on the grill skin-side down
Grill until skins are charred and blistered
Turn peppers as needed to cook evenly
Remove peppers from the grill
Let peppers cool briefly
Peel off the charred skins if desired
Season or use as needed
