Protect the bed from heavy foot traffic and excessive sun
Water during dry periods to keep soil evenly damp
Wait through seasonal cycles, especially spring warming and cool nights
Keep the site free of competing weeds and debris
Use mature hardwood trees nearby if possible
Be patient, as morels can take multiple seasons to fruit
Harvest mushrooms by cutting or gently twisting at the base
Leave some mushrooms behind to help spread spores
