Stop the activity immediately
Rest in a quiet, dark environment

Do not let them drive, drink alcohol, or use drugs

Call emergency services if there is loss of consciousness, repeated vomiting, seizure, severe headache, confusion, weakness, slurred speech, or unequal pupils
Follow a healthcare professional’s return-to-activity plan
Get medical clearance before returning to sports or risky activities
