Select the text you want to highlight
Click the Format button in the toolbar
Open the Text tab
Click the Text Color button
Choose a highlight color from the color menu
Use the Highlight option if available in your version of Pages
Right-click the selected text and choose Highlight if shown
Use the keyboard shortcut or menu command if your Pages version supports it
Repeat for any additional text you want to highlight
