Check whether your controller is wired or wireless
For a wired controller, plug it into a USB port on your PC
Wait for Windows to detect and install the driver automatically
If needed, install the controller’s official driver or software
For a Bluetooth controller, turn on Bluetooth on your PC
Put the controller into pairing mode
Open Bluetooth settings on your PC
Select the controller from the list of available devices
Confirm pairing if prompted
If the controller uses a USB wireless adapter, plug the adapter into your PC
Turn on the controller and wait for it to connect
Open game controller settings to test the input
Calibrate or remap buttons if necessary
Launch your game and select controller support if available
