Download the Fedora 42 ISO from the official Fedora website
Verify the ISO checksum if desired
Create a bootable USB drive using Rufus, Fedora Media Writer, balenaEtcher, or a similar tool
Insert the USB drive into the target computer
Restart the computer and open the boot menu
Select the USB drive as the boot device
Choose “Start Fedora” or “Try Fedora” from the boot menu
Open the Fedora installer from the live desktop
Select language, keyboard, and installation destination
Configure disk partitioning if needed
Set user account, password, and system settings
Begin the installation
Wait for installation to complete
Reboot the computer
Remove the USB drive when prompted
Complete the first-boot setup if shown
