Check the shoe label for machine-wash instructions
Remove laces and insoles (wash separately if allowed)
Brush off dirt and debris from the shoes
Place shoes in a mesh laundry bag or pillowcase
Add a few towels to balance the load and reduce noise
Use cold or warm water (not hot)
Use a mild detergent
Select a gentle or delicate cycle
Avoid spin-drying if possible; choose low spin or skip high-speed spin
After the cycle, remove shoes promptly
Air-dry shoes at room temperature
Stuff with paper towels or a dry cloth to help maintain shape
Avoid direct heat sources (radiators, hair dryers, direct sunlight)
Once dry, reinsert insoles and re-tie laces
If shoes are leather, suede, or have glued-on parts, do not machine wash
