Download the font file from a trusted source
Check the file format, such as .ttf, .otf, or .ttc
Extract the font files if they are in a compressed folder
On Windows, right-click the font file and select Install or Install for all users
On Windows, open Settings, go to Personalization, then Fonts, and drag the font file into the Fonts window
On macOS, double-click the font file and click Install Font in Font Book
On macOS, open Font Book and add the font through the File menu
On Linux, copy the font file to the .fonts or .local/share/fonts folder in your home directory
On Linux, update the font cache after copying the file
Restart the application you want to use the font in
Verify the font appears in the application’s font list
