Turn on the Canon printer
Open the printer cover or ink tank access cover
Wait for the ink carriage to move to the replacement position
Remove the new ink cartridge or ink tank from its packaging
Remove the protective tape or seal from the ink cartridge or ink tank
Do not touch the electrical contacts or ink nozzles
Insert the ink cartridge or ink tank into the correct slot
Push it in firmly until it clicks into place
Repeat for any additional cartridges or tanks
Close the printer cover or ink tank access cover
Wait for the printer to recognize the ink
Run a print head alignment or ink check if prompted
Print a test page to confirm installation
