Unbox the Ring Doorbell and check included items
Charge or install the battery (if your model uses a removable battery)
Turn off power to the existing doorbell wiring (if replacing a wired doorbell)
Remove the old doorbell (if applicable) and disconnect the wires
Check compatibility with your doorbell wiring setup (if replacing wired)
Attach the Ring Doorbell mounting bracket to the wall/door frame using the included screws
Connect doorbell wires to the Ring Doorbell terminals (if wired model)
Mount the Ring Doorbell to the bracket and secure it
Restore power to the doorbell system (if wired) or insert/fully charge the battery (if battery model)
Download the Ring app on your phone
Create or sign in to your Ring account in the app
Tap Set Up a Device in the app
Select Doorbells and choose your Ring model
Follow the in-app steps to connect to your home Wi‑Fi
Scan the QR code on the device (or enter the setup code) when prompted
Wait for firmware updates to complete
Test the doorbell by pressing the button and confirming it triggers in the app
Adjust motion settings and notification preferences in the app
Install any included security screws or cover plates (if applicable)
