Avoid smoke, strong fragrances, and other irritants
Stay hydrated and rest
Blow your nose gently (don’t over-force)
Seek medical care if symptoms last more than 10 days, worsen after improving, or you have severe facial pain, high fever, shortness of breath, or ear pain
Get urgent care if you have trouble breathing, swelling around the eyes, confusion, or severe symptoms
