How to Install Windows Using USB?

Back up important files

Get a USB flash drive with at least 8 GB of space

Download the Windows ISO from Microsoft

Download and open the Media Creation Tool or Rufus

Insert the USB drive into the computer

Select the USB drive in the tool

Choose the Windows ISO or let the tool create the installation media

Start the creation process and wait for it to finish

Safely eject the USB drive

Insert the USB drive into the target computer

Restart the computer

Enter the boot menu or BIOS/UEFI setup

Set the USB drive as the first boot device

Save changes and restart

Press any key when prompted to boot from USB

Select language, time, and keyboard settings

Click Install Now

Enter the product key or choose I don’t have a product key

Select the Windows edition if prompted

Accept the license terms

Choose Custom: Install Windows only

Select the drive or partition for Windows installation

Format or delete partitions if needed

Click Next to begin installation

Wait for Windows to copy files and restart

Complete the on-screen setup steps

Remove the USB drive when the computer restarts if needed

Install drivers, updates, and apps after setup
