Park on a flat, level surface
Put the transmission in Park or in gear
Set the parking brake
Turn off the engine
Chock the wheels that will stay on the ground
Locate the correct jacking points in the owner’s manual
Position the jack under the approved jacking point
Raise the jack slowly until it contacts the car
Check that the jack is centered and stable
Continue lifting until the tire is off the ground
Place jack stands under the proper support points
Lower the car onto the jack stands
Gently shake the car to confirm it is stable
Never work under a car supported only by a jack
Lower the car fully when finished
Remove the jack stands
Remove the wheel chocks
