Start with the lace evenly threaded through the bottom eyelets
Pull both lace ends so they are equal in length
Cross the laces over and feed them through the next set of eyelets
Continue lacing upward in a crisscross pattern
Keep the tension even on both sides

Tuck the lace ends inside the boot or tie them in a knot
