Power off the iPhone
Remove the SIM tray
Heat the edges of the screen to soften the adhesive
Use a suction cup and opening tool to lift the screen slightly
Insert a plastic pick to separate the display from the frame
Open the iPhone carefully without pulling the display cables
Remove the screws securing the metal connector shield
Disconnect the battery connector first
Disconnect the display connectors
Remove the damaged screen assembly
Transfer any required components from the old screen to the new screen
Connect the new screen cables
Reconnect the battery connector
Reinstall the connector shield and screws
Test the new screen before sealing the phone
Close the phone and press the screen into place
Reinsert the SIM tray
Power on the iPhone and verify touch and display function
