Open the Messages app
Tap Edit or Filters
Tap Show Recently Deleted
Select the messages you want to recover
Tap Recover
Confirm by tapping Recover Messages
Restore from an iCloud backup if Recently Deleted is unavailable
Restore from a computer backup if you have one
Check other Apple devices signed in with the same Apple ID
Contact your carrier if the messages were never deleted from their records
