Open your Google Sheet
Click the column letter you want to lock
Right-click the selected column
Click Freeze
Choose Up to current column
To protect a column instead, go to Data
Click Protect sheets and ranges
Click Add a sheet or range
Enter the column range
Click Set permissions
Choose who can edit
Click Done
