Use a folder-locking app or encryption software
Create a new encrypted vault or container
Set a strong password
Move the folder contents into the encrypted vault
Close and lock the vault after use
Keep the password private and backed up securely
Use built-in OS encryption if available
Compress the folder into a password-protected archive
Test the lock by reopening the folder with the password
Delete any unprotected copies if needed
