Open the Venmo app
Tap the menu icon
Go to Settings
Tap Privacy
Set your default transaction privacy to Private
Change past transactions to Private if needed
Turn on Face ID, Touch ID, or PIN lock in the app settings
Enable two-factor authentication on your account
Use a strong, unique password
Review your privacy settings regularly
Avoid sharing transaction details in public notes
Remove linked devices you do not use
Log out of Venmo on shared devices
