Park on a flat, stable surface

Fit the tool fully onto the nut
Turn the nut counterclockwise
Apply steady pressure
Use your body weight if needed
Spray penetrating oil on stuck nuts
Wait a few minutes after applying oil
Use a breaker bar for extra leverage
Tap the wrench lightly if needed
Loosen nuts slightly before lifting the vehicle
Raise the vehicle only after loosening
Never place any part of your body under an unsupported vehicle
