2–3 inches fresh ginger root
1 lemon, juiced
1–2 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon honey, optional
Peel the ginger
Chop the ginger into small pieces
Blend the ginger with water
Strain the mixture through a fine sieve or cheesecloth
Stir in lemon juice
Add honey if desired
Pour into a small glass
Drink immediately
