Open Excel and enter your data in columns (example: one column for X values, one column for Y values).
Select the data range you want to chart (including column headers if you have them).
Go to the Insert tab.
Choose a chart type from the Charts section (e.g., Line, Column, Bar, Scatter).
Click the chart type you want to insert.
If needed, adjust the chart using Chart Design and Format tabs (change chart type, add chart elements, apply styles).
Use Select Data (Chart Design) to confirm or edit which cells are used for series and labels.
Add titles and labels: click the chart, then use Add Chart Element to select Chart Title, Axis Titles, and Legend.
Format axes: click the axis, then use Format Axis to set bounds, units, and number formats.
Customize series: click a data series to change color, line style, markers, and data labels.
