How to Make a Loaf of Bread?

Gather 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 packet active dry yeast, 1 1/4 cups warm water, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1 teaspoon salt, and 2 tablespoons oil

Mix warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl

Let the yeast sit for 5 to 10 minutes until foamy

Add salt, oil, and 2 cups of flour

Stir until combined

Add the remaining flour gradually

Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8 to 10 minutes

Place the dough in a greased bowl

Cover the bowl and let the dough rise for 1 to 1 1/2 hours until doubled in size

Punch down the dough

Shape the dough into a loaf

Place the dough in a greased loaf pan

Cover and let it rise again for 30 to 45 minutes

Preheat the oven to 375°F

Bake the loaf for 30 to 35 minutes

Remove the bread from the pan

Cool the bread on a wire rack before slicing
