You cannot craft a Nether Star in survival mode
Obtain a Nether Star by defeating the Wither
Summon the Wither using 4 Soul Sand or Soul Soil and 3 Wither Skeleton Skulls
Collect the Nether Star after the Wither is defeated
In Creative mode, you can get a Nether Star from the inventory or by using the give command
