Start with a rectangular sheet of paper
Fold it in half lengthwise
Fold it in half again, then unfold
Fold the top corners down to the center crease
Fold the bottom edges of the top layer upward on both sides
Fold the small bottom flaps over the edges
Open the model from the bottom and flatten it into a diamond shape
Fold the bottom point of the front layer up
Flip it over and fold the bottom point up again
Open the model from the bottom and flatten it into a smaller diamond shape
Pull the two top points apart to form the ship
Adjust the shape so the sides stand upright
Open the top flaps to make the sails or hull shape
