Check local laws and regulations before removing window tint
Park the car in a shaded, well-ventilated area
Gather a heat gun or hair dryer, razor blade, plastic scraper, glass cleaner, microfiber towels, adhesive remover, and gloves
Lower the window slightly to access the top edge of the tint
Heat a corner of the tint until the adhesive softens
Lift the corner with a fingernail or plastic scraper
Peel the tint back slowly at a shallow angle while continuing to apply heat
Reheat stubborn areas as needed to keep the adhesive soft
Use a razor blade or plastic scraper to remove remaining film and adhesive
Spray adhesive remover on leftover residue and let it sit briefly
Wipe away residue with a microfiber towel
Clean the glass with window cleaner until clear
Repeat the process for each tinted window
Dispose of removed tint and adhesive waste properly
