Remove the belt from the machine
Lay the belt flat on a clean surface
Measure the outside circumference with a tape measure
Measure the top width across the widest part of the belt
Measure the thickness from top to bottom
Check the belt’s inside length if required by the manufacturer
Compare the measurements to the belt size markings or replacement chart
Match the belt profile type to the pulley groove type
Confirm the belt is not stretched, cracked, or worn before replacing it
