Let the engine cool completely
Park on a level surface and set the parking brake
Place a drain pan under the radiator drain valve or lower hose
Open the radiator cap slowly
Open the drain valve or remove the lower radiator hose
Drain the old coolant completely
Close the drain valve or reinstall the lower hose
Fill the radiator with distilled water or radiator flush solution
Reinstall the radiator cap
Start the engine and run it for the recommended flush time
Turn the heater on to full hot while the engine runs
Shut off the engine and let it cool
Drain the flush solution completely
Repeat with distilled water until the drained liquid is clear
Refill with the correct coolant mixture
Bleed air from the cooling system if required
Check the coolant level in the radiator and overflow reservoir
Inspect for leaks
Dispose of old coolant properly
