Upload or create your stencil design
Resize the design to fit your project
Mirror the design if needed
Select a stencil-safe material like stencil vinyl or acetate
Load the material onto the cutting mat
Insert the mat into the Cricut machine
Choose the correct material setting
Start the cut
Remove the stencil material from the mat
Weed out the areas you want to cut away
Apply transfer tape if using adhesive stencil vinyl
Place the stencil on your project surface
Press down edges to seal the stencil
Paint or apply your medium
Remove the stencil carefully after use
