Chill a martini glass
Add ice to a cocktail shaker
Pour in 2 oz vodka
Pour in 1 oz sour apple liqueur
Pour in 1 oz apple juice
Add 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
Add 1/2 oz simple syrup if desired
Shake well until cold
Strain into the chilled martini glass
Garnish with an apple slice if desired
