How to Make Beach Waves Without a Curling Iron?

Wash and towel-dry your hair until damp

Apply a light leave-in conditioner or sea salt spray

Divide hair into sections

Braid damp hair into one or more loose braids

Leave braids in until hair is fully dry

Undo braids and gently separate waves with fingers

Twist small sections of damp hair into buns and secure with pins or hair ties

Let buns dry completely, then release and finger-comb

Wrap damp hair around a headband and leave it overnight

Remove the headband in the morning and shake out the waves

Scrunch damp hair upward with mousse or styling cream

Let hair air-dry while scrunching occasionally

Use foam rollers or flexi rods on damp hair

Remove rollers when hair is dry and separate the waves

Braid hair before bed and sleep on it overnight

Finish with a light hairspray or texturizing spray

Avoid brushing after styling to keep the wave pattern intact
