Preheat the oven to 300°F to 325°F
Pat the beef ribs dry with paper towels
Remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs
Season the ribs generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika
Place the ribs on a foil-lined baking sheet or in a roasting pan
Cover tightly with aluminum foil
Bake for 2.5 to 3.5 hours, until tender
Remove the foil during the last 20 to 30 minutes if you want a browned exterior
Brush with barbecue sauce during the last 15 to 20 minutes, if desired
Check that the ribs are fork-tender before removing from the oven
Let the ribs rest for 10 to 15 minutes
Slice and serve
