How To Make Black Bean Burgers?

2 cans black beans, drained and rinsed

1 cup breadcrumbs

1/2 cup finely chopped onion

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 egg

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons olive oil

Mash black beans in a bowl until mostly broken down

Stir in breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, egg, soy sauce, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper

Mix until combined and formable

Shape into burger patties

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat

Cook patties for 4 to 5 minutes per side until firm and browned

Serve on buns with desired toppings
