Pat the shrimp dry
Toss the shrimp with blackening seasoning
Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high to high heat
Add a little oil or butter to the skillet
Place the shrimp in a single layer
Cook for 1 to 2 minutes per side until blackened and opaque
Remove the shrimp from the skillet immediately
Serve hot with lemon wedges or over rice, salad, or pasta
