2 tablespoons butter or oil
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups beef broth or stock
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
Heat butter or oil in a saucepan over medium heat
Whisk in flour
Cook and whisk for 1 to 2 minutes until golden brown
Slowly whisk in beef broth
Add Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, and garlic powder
Bring to a simmer
Cook and whisk until thickened, about 3 to 5 minutes
Season with salt and black pepper
Serve warm
