Melt 1/2 cup unsalted butter in a saucepan over low heat
Whisk in 1/2 cup hot sauce
Add 1 to 2 teaspoons white vinegar
Add 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Add a pinch of cayenne pepper if desired
Add a pinch of salt if needed
Whisk until smooth and combined
Simmer for 1 to 2 minutes
Remove from heat and use warm
