How To Make Buffalo Sauce?

1/2 cup hot sauce (Frank’s RedHot or similar)

1/4 cup unsalted butter

1–2 tablespoons white vinegar

1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional)

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

1/2 teaspoon onion powder (optional)

Pinch of salt (optional)

Add hot sauce and butter to a small saucepan

Heat over low to medium-low until butter melts

Whisk until smooth

Add vinegar and any optional ingredients

Simmer 1–3 minutes, stirring

Taste and adjust heat (more hot sauce) or tang (more vinegar) or sweetness (more sugar)

Remove from heat and serve immediately

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 1 week
