How To Make Coconut Rice?

Rinse 2 cups rice until the water runs clear

Soak the rice for 15–20 minutes

Drain the rice

Heat 1 tablespoon oil or butter in a pot

Add 1 small sliced onion

Sauté until soft

Add the drained rice

Stir for 1–2 minutes

Add 1 cup coconut milk

Add 1½ cups water

Add 1 teaspoon salt

Stir once

Bring to a boil

Reduce the heat to low

Cover the pot

Cook for 15–18 minutes

Turn off the heat

Let it rest covered for 10 minutes

Fluff with a fork

Serve warm
