Harvest mature corn kernels
Clean and sort the kernels
Remove the outer hull and germ
Cook the corn kernels until softened
Dry the cooked corn
Roll or flatten the kernels into thin flakes
Toast the flakes until crisp
Cool the flakes completely
Add salt, sugar, or malt if desired
Package the corn flakes for storage
