Measure the window width and desired curtain length

Wash, dry, and press the fabric if needed
Cut the fabric panels to size
Cut the lining panels to size
Sew the side seams of the fabric panels
Sew the side seams of the lining panels
Attach the lining to the fabric panel
Hem the bottom edge
Create the top heading for rod pocket, grommets, pleats, or tabs
Add curtain tape or pleat tape if needed
Sew the top edge securely
Press all seams and edges
Install curtain rings, hooks, or grommets if required
Hang the curtains on the rod
Adjust the length and fullness as needed
